Fernando Kaxassa – Débora Duboc – Bassano Vacarini

Calling her a friend is unnecessary; she's more than that, she's a sister. She's been part of Cauim since the beginning. The group has always been active in all areas of culture, and theater was at the root of the formation of the Cauim Film Club. There, along with other artists from the city, was Débora Duboc, a young woman with a life goal: to be an actress. She succeeded, and today Débora is recognized as one of the great actresses of Brazilian theater and cinema. She has participated in dozens of theatrical productions, winning the Shell, Apetesp, and APCA awards in 1995, and again receiving the APCA award in 1999. And so it goes, always acclaimed and admired.

In cinema, she starred in dozens of feature and short films. She also won national and international awards. She married Toni Venturi, a Brazilian filmmaker, and this union produced wonderful films such as... Latitude Zero, An unforgettable piece of work, a collaborative effort between the two of them.

Finally, today, May 4th, our sister Débora Duboc is celebrating another year of life. Happy birthday Débinha, may you be very happy on your journey. And if Cauim had to choose a "godmother," she would certainly be our (fairy) godmother Débora Duboc.
