The Secret Agent, an Oscar-nominated film, continues to be shown at the Cauim cinema.

     The Brazilian film The Secret Agent, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, has established itself as a historical landmark, receiving four nominations to Oscar 2026. This achievement expands Brazil's presence in the awards, coming right after the historic victory of... I'm Still Here last year. 

     Below are the categories in which the feature film is nominated and some interesting facts:

     Categories Nominated for the 2026 Oscars

     Best Film: This is the second consecutive time that Brazil has reached the main category, following the nomination of I'm Still Here in 2025.

     Best Actor (Wagner MouraMoura makes history as the first Brazilian actor nominated in this category. He plays Marcelo, a university professor who becomes a fugitive during the military dictatorship in Recife in the 1970s.

     Best International Film: Brazil is looking to retain the title in this category, which it won for the first time in 2025 with the film I'm Still Here, directed by Walter Salles and starring Fernanda Torres.

     Best Casting Direction (CastingThe film is competing in this brand-new category, created by the Academy to debut at the 2026 edition. The selection process was led by Gabriel Domingues.

     And remember: The Secret Agent It is currently showing at Cineclube Cauim, the real movie theater in Ribeirão Preto.

     A maintenance fee is charged: R$ 10.00 for half price, R$ 20.00 for full price.

     There are two sessions daily. One at 4 PM and another at 7:30 PM.

     Tickets are sold only one hour in advance. Please arrive on time to secure your seats.
