A documentary produced by Repórter Brasil will be shown., in session FREE, on Thursday, November 16th, at 7 PM, at the new Cine Clube Cauim; with commentary., completely open to the public.

The documentary “Reports from a correspondent covering the war in the Amazon.” It tells the story of the tragedy of Dom Phillips, an English journalist murdered in an ambush in the Javari Valley last June along with the indigenous rights activist Bruno Pereira, but it also addresses the challenges faced by the press with the violence against indigenous communities in the Amazon, the world's largest tropical rainforest.

After premiering to a full house at the Cinemateca in São Paulo, as part of the Amazon Stories showcase promoted by the Pulitzer Center, the film will be screened for the second time in Ribeirão Preto on Thursday, November 16th, at 7 pm, at the new Cine Clube Cauim (Rua Olavo Bilac, 135 – Vila Seixas), with the presence of the editor of Repórter Brasil and director of the documentary, Ana Aranha, for a commented session. This screening of the documentary is supported by the Union of Professional Journalists of the State of São Paulo – Ribeirão Preto Regional.
