The Secret Agent continues to be on display at Cauim. And with a promotion!

The Brazilian film The Secret Agent, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and starring Wagner Moura, is one of the major highlights of the 2025/2026 awards season. Below are the main achievements and nominations confirmed so far: 

Cannes Film Festival (2025)

The film received a historic reception in the official competition:

  • Won: Best Director (Kleber Mendonça Filho).
  • Won: Best Actor (Wagner Moura), making him the first Brazilian to win in this category at Cannes.
  • Won: International Critics' Prize (FIPRESCI) and the prize Art and Essay

Golden Globe Awards (2026) 

He established himself as a Hollywood favorite with major wins: 

  • Won: Best Foreign Language Film.
  • Won: Best Actor in a Drama Film (Wagner Moura).
  • Indication: Best Drama Film. 

Oscar (2026)

The film received four nominations, equaling the record of City of God:

  • Indications: Best Picture, Best International Film, Best Actor (Wagner Moura) and Best Casting Direction.
  • Notice: The ceremony is scheduled for March 15, 2026. 

BAFTA (2026)

Known as the “"British Oscar"”, The film is competing in: 

  • Indications: Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Screenplay (Kleber Mendonça Filho). 

César (2026)

France's most important awards ceremony nominated the film in the following category: 

Indication: Best Foreign Language Film (or Best Picture, depending on the co-production listing).

Due to the success of the film, The Secret Agent It will continue to be shown for another week (from February 5th to 11th) at Cauim, the true movie theater in Ribeirão Preto.

This will be the third week of continuous screening of The Secret Agento in Cauim.

There are two daily sessions: one at 4 PM and another at 7:30 PM.

And there's an unmissable promotion: this third week everyone will pay only R$ 10.00 in maintenance fees.

The box office will open one hour before each session.
