CAUIM SCREENING THE FILM SIRÁT

In a journey driven by hope and destiny, Luis (Sergi López) and his son Esteban (Bruno Núñez) traverse the arid landscapes of Morocco. The pair's goal is to locate Marina, their daughter and sister, who disappeared months earlier in a... rave In the desert. While distributing photos of the young woman among partygoers celebrating a freedom unknown to them, father and son decide to follow a group of five friends to one last, mysterious party. Despite an initial warning not to proceed, the seven end up forming a deep bond, sharing stories and obstacles amidst the isolation of the mountains, united by the final search for Marina.

The synopsis above is from the movie. Sirat, a Spanish drama/thriller directed by Oliver Laxe and starring Sergi López, Bruno Núñez & Stefania Gadda.

Sirat won Jury Prize node Cannes Film Festival from 2025 and is nominated to Oscar 2026 in the categories Better International Film e Best Sound.

And starting next day February 26 (Thursdayand even March 4th (Wednesday), the Cauim Film Club, the real movie theater in Ribeirão Preto, will be showing Sirat,, which is one hour and forty-five minutes long.

There will be two daily sessions: one at 16 hours (four o'clock in the afternoon) and another to 7:30 PM (seven thirty at night).

There is a maintenance fee: R$ 20.00 for a full ticket, R$ 10.00 for a half ticket.

But there's also a promotion: on Thursday (February 26th) and Friday (February 27th), everyone pays only R$ 10.00.

And the Cauim, the film club that promotes citizenship by showcasing excellent contemporary films.

Important reminder: Sirat It has an age rating of sixteen years. And the copy to be displayed in Cauim é subtitled.
