Lucchetti<br \/>Edi\u00e7\u00e3o: Marco Aur\u00e9lio Lucchetti<\/i><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>A superprodu\u00e7\u00e3o <i>King Kong<\/i>, cuja estreia mundial ocorreu em dezembro de 2005, custou aproximadamente duzentos milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares e foi filmada nos est\u00fadios Weta, nos arredores de Wellington, a capital da Nova Zel\u00e2ndia.<br \/>Dirigido pelo neozeland\u00eas Peter Jackson \u2013 o mesmo realizador da trilogia <i>O Senhor dos An\u00e9is<\/i> (<i>The Lord of the Rings<\/i>, 2001-2003) e do pouco comentado, mas envolvente, <i>Almas G\u00eameas<\/i> (<i>Heavenly Creatures<\/i>, 1994) \u2013, <i>King Kong<\/i> \u00e9 uma refilmagem do cl\u00e1ssico filme lan\u00e7ado em 1933 e produzido e dirigido por Merian C. Cooper (Merian Caldwell Cooper, 1893-1973) &amp; Ernest B. Schoedsack (Ernest Beaumont Schoedsack, 1893-1979).<br \/>Tal como ocorre no original, essa refilmagem, cuja a\u00e7\u00e3o se passa na d\u00e9cada de 1930, mostra um grupo de americanos, tendo \u00e0 frente um cineasta obcecado, Carl Denham (interpretado por Jack Black), que vai realizar um filme numa ilha perdida no sul do Pac\u00edfico.<br \/>Chamada de Ilha da Caveira, essa ilha \u00e9 <i>habitat<\/i> de um gigantesco gorila, Kong, que, da mesma forma que o antigo Kong, possui a capacidade do afeto, apesar de sua extrema viol\u00eancia e agressividade.<br \/>Na verdade, h\u00e1 uma explica\u00e7\u00e3o para Kong ser t\u00e3o violento: ele \u00e9 o \u00faltimo de sua esp\u00e9cie e tem de lutar todos os dias \u2013 usando de toda sua for\u00e7a bruta \u2013 por sua sobreviv\u00eancia, enfrentando os ferozes dinossauros que infestam a Ilha da Caveira.<br \/>E o afeto de Kong \u00e9 dirigido a Ann Darrow, uma jovem atriz desempregada. Ann foi interpretada por Naomi Watts [ela j\u00e1 havia demonstrado todo seu talento como atriz em <i>Cidade dos Sonhos<\/i> (<i>Mulholland Drive<\/i>, 2001), ao encarnar Betty Elms, uma personagem cheia de sensualidade], que aceitou prontamente o convite de Peter Jackson de participar do filme, mesmo sabendo que, muitas vezes, teria a dif\u00edcil tarefa de contracenar com o nada, uma vez que a figura de Kong, criada digitalmente, seria acrescentada depois \u00e0 cena.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cauim.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/kong-2-1024x434.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><i>Naomi Watts, numa cena de <\/i>King Kong.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i>King Kong<\/i> \u00e9, antes de tudo, uma vers\u00e3o moderna do conto de fadas <i>A Bela e a Fera <\/i>(<i>La Belle et la B\u00eate<\/i>, 1756).<br \/>Abre um par\u00eantese.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cauim.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/kong-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><i>Josette Day e Jean Marais, no filme <\/i>A Bela e a Fera.<\/p>\n<p>Escrito por Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont (nascida\u00a0Marie-Barbe Leprince, 1711-1780), mais conhecida como Madame Leprince de Beaumont, <i>A Bela e a Fera<\/i> j\u00e1 foi diversas vezes adaptado para o Cinema. E a melhor e mais bonita dessas adapta\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e9, sem d\u00favida, a que o poeta, romancista e cineasta franc\u00eas Jean Cocteau (Jean\u00a0Maurice Eug\u00e8ne Cl\u00e9ment Cocteau, 1889-1963) realizou em 1946, tendo Jean Marais (1913-1998) e Josette Day (1914-1978) nos principais pap\u00e9is.<br \/>Fecha o par\u00eantese.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cauim.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/kong-4-1024x573.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><i>Naomi Watts, interpretando Ann Darrow, na m\u00e3o de Kong, numa cena de <\/i>King Kong.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Por\u00e9m, ao contr\u00e1rio do que ocorre no conto de fadas, o filme de Peter Jackson n\u00e3o tem um final feliz. Ann Darrow, a Bela, n\u00e3o consegue salvar Kong, a Fera. E isso acontece por uma raz\u00e3o bem simples: Kong foi tirado de seu ambiente natural e levado para um local muito mais selvagem e cruel do que a pr\u00f3pria selva. E que lugar \u00e9 esse? \u00c9 a cidade de Nova York, s\u00edmbolo m\u00e1ximo da sociedade capitalista, onde o diferente n\u00e3o \u00e9 aceito, onde alguns poucos privilegiados ditam as normas para uma imensa maioria de desfavorecidos e onde tudo aquilo que representa uma amea\u00e7a ao <i>stablishment<\/i> deve ser destru\u00eddo.<br \/>A seu modo, Kong vivia feliz na Ilha da Caveira. No entanto, ao ser tirado de l\u00e1, n\u00e3o lhe restou outra alternativa, a n\u00e3o ser morrer. E, ao assistir \u00e0 cena em que ele despenca do alto do Empire State Building, o espectador que ainda \u00e9 capaz de emocionar-se deve sentir vontade de chorar. Alguns, os mais emotivos, talvez at\u00e9 cheguem a derramar uma l\u00e1grima, possivelmente furtiva. Mas uma l\u00e1grima \u00e9 sempre uma l\u00e1grima.
