The project CINEMA & LITERATURE<\/strong> \u00e9 uma atividade, com sess\u00f5es gratuitas de cinema, dirigida \u00e0s associa\u00e7\u00f5es de bairros de Ribeir\u00e3o Preto, por meio da FABARP \u2013 Federa\u00e7\u00e3o das Associa\u00e7\u00f5es de Bairros de Ribeir\u00e3o Preto (CNPJ 51.822.583\/0001-777), alunos das redes p\u00fablica e privada de ensino e p\u00fablico em geral. Ser\u00e3o exibidos filmes adaptados de obras liter\u00e1rias de g\u00eaneros diversos. O objetivo do projeto \u00e9 aproximar a popula\u00e7\u00e3o ribeir\u00e3o-pretana desta forma de cultura, do livro e dos universos que ela abre para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o integral do ser humano.<\/p>\n

Cinema has always looked to literature for themes and plots that have given rise to films of the most varied genres.
<\/em>Muitos desses filmes alcan\u00e7aram grande sucesso de p\u00fablico e\/ou se tornaram verdadeiros cl\u00e1ssicos. A palavra escrita, ferramenta fundamental da Literatura, exige talvez mais esfor\u00e7o do que a imagem, para ser entendida pelo receptor. Mas ambas, palavra escrita e imagem, necessitam da mente humana no processo de defini\u00e7\u00e3o do discurso. E a pr\u00f3pria palavra \u201c"imagine"\u201d<\/em> This already allows us to understand that all human thought is structured as an image. In other words, the world can only be thought about through images.
